Welcome to Mrs. Reardon's website!  This is my tenth year teaching at Cross Middle School, and my fourteenth year teaching.  Please see my Welcome Letter; the tab is on the left. 

Defining Moment in Education

I have always loved working with children and youth because of their energy and optimism. Prior to teaching, I volunteered for organizations that focused on giving children and youth support in academics or enrichment activities. Assisting students on their Science Fair projects at local libraries as well as introducing inner-city children to our great outdoors were two such activities where I enjoyed the questions and insights posed by these young people.

I had a very different career after graduating from university; I journeyed for a while down the path of civil engineering. It was then that I made the decision to teach overseas in Seoul, South Korea. There, I discovered that spending my working time with children and youth was far more fulfilling than my previous path. The paycheck was a gift, and I was inspired to retrain in education so that I could spend most of my time around young people.

Core Educational Belief

Education is a human right and a gift. Education is powerful, and it can open doors of opportunity. It also does not stop outside of the classroom. I hope that my students continue along this path of learning so that they too may have opportunities in life.
