Mrs. Tricia Stewart

Welcome!

Thank you for visiting my web page. I love teaching at Coronado so much my whole family is here! My daughter is in 5th grade, my son is in second and my husband teaches 2nd grade and coaches various middle school sports. As a family we love to go camping as often as we can. In my free time, I enjoy reading, scrapbooking, trying out a new craft or going for a nice long walk.

Defining Moment in Education

My definining moment is not a single moment but many moments in my career; when students makes more than expected growth, a class that is collaborative and enthusiastic about their learning, a kind note from a parent expresssing appreciation or a meeting with a collegue that helps to push me to the next level in my teaching. It is all of these moments together that inspire me and remind me that I am exactly where I am meant to be.

Core Educational Belief

I strive to be the teacher that I want my own children to have. A classroom should be a place where a child is respected, challenged, encouraged and supported. A place where they learn to love learning and are inspired to be their best.

Prior Experience

I have taught all 13 years at Amphitheater School District. I began my career at Holaway Elementary. There I taught Cross Categorical Special Education, a K/1 class, Second grade but most of the years in First grade. Then I taught 2 years of First grade at Mesa Verde. I was thrilled to be hired at Coronado in 2013. Last year I taught Third grade and this year a 2/3 multiage.
