Mr. Dan Glor
I have lived in Tucson since 2004. As a graduate of Scottsdale Culinary Instute, I have worked in restaurants, from fast food to fine dining, hotels and institutional food service for 17 years. Now, I am passing on practical knowledge to students at Canyon del Oro through the culinary program. I like to teach students that food can be healthy and delicious. Students will also learn the basics of safe food handling and storage, prevention of accidents and overall self sufficiency in the kitchen. Students will also learn about potential careers in the culinary field and build a skill set to be successful.
I have been teaching at Canyon del Oro since 2012. Since then students have had opportunities to cater different functions in different styles from plated to buffet. I am a sponsor of the Catering Club and I participate in AZ FCCLA with a leadership conference in the Fall and completive events during spring semester. We have had several students earn significant scholarships to attend culinary schools throughout the country through participation in the C-CAP program (Careers through Culinary Arts Project) as well.
