What I am committed to providing Amphi Academy students, parents and staff:

I am committed to being a positive, enthusiastic, kind, and helpful member of the Amphi Academy Online family. I am committed to always working to become the best I can be for myself, my students, our staff, and the families of Amphi Academy. I am committed to holding myself and my students accountable to high standards, both academically and personally, and I will always strive to be a lifelong learner and provide a good example to my students. I am committed to instilling a love of learning in my students, so they are excited to come to school each day, are eager to learn new skills, and are unafraid to try new things (always remembering that “We learn from our mistakes!"). I am committed to creating a virtual classroom environment that encourages open minds, open hearts, and creative thinkers.

Three things I am working on this school year are:

Immersing myself in the Edgenuity math curriculum and online tools so that I can be the best 6th/7th/8th Grade teacher I can be and help my students be successful in their academic growth as they get adjusted to the world of self-paced remote learning!***

Finding new and exciting technology tools to help myself, my students, and our staff learn new things and be more productive.

Practicing mindfulness and working on becoming healthier in mind, body, and spirt.

Things I enjoying outside of school are:

Traveling, watching sports (football, hockey, baseball, etc.), salsa dancing, working out, playing golf, writing poetry, spending time with my husband,  family/friends, visiting my son and daughter-in-law in Chicago, and last, but not least, playing and snuggling with our dogs, Boomer and Freddy.

****Since AAO is a totally online school platform, students are expected to check their Amphi student gmail and Schoology Page for every subject daily to make sure they are getting important messages and assignments from the teachers in a timely manner.  Also, in a virtual environment, an email is like a "virtual hand raise" in a regular classroom, so students should email their teachers if they need help or have any questions on their course. I am here to help, and I'm just an email and/or ZOOM appointment away!!!***
