Why La Cima?  

Located on Tucson’s Northwest Side and surrounded by breathtaking mountain and city views, La Cima Middle School is  Amphi School District’s hidden gem. Our beautiful campus proudly serves a culturally and economically diverse population.

In Spanish “LA CIMA” means “The top ridge or crest of a mountain”.  Our teachers and staff will always put students first and offer gentle and consistent guidance to students on their journey to the La Cima mountain top.

La Cima Middle School is an AVID school and is proud to practice AVID Schoolwide. We are dedicated to closing the achievement gap by preparing all students for college readiness and success in our global society. This means that our entire instructional staff utilizes AVID strategies, other best instructional practices, and 21st century tools to ensure college readiness and improved academic performance for all students.
