Innovation Academy Music Program

We at Innovation Academy firmly believe that music is a vital part of a STEM education.  Music incorporates the creativity and math skills that are integral in the changing educational landscape.  Students in kindergarten through third grade discover how sound works through interactive labs, compose their own music, and develop a solid foundational ability to read and perform music.  This prepares our fourth and fifth grade students for our unique instrumental education program in which every student learns a traditional band or orchestra instrument.  This culminates in two performances a year with their respective ensemble.  These opportunities in music education develop important life skills:  confidence, perseverance, organization, and dedication.  This well-rounded approach to STEM education allows our students to grow both academically and personally.
