College Readiness Information

Below is information related to college readiness and events that are happening at Amphi High!

College Advisor: Amphitheater High School has a full-time college advisor to assist seniors with every step of the college and career process. You can reach the college advisor, Rob Young,  at 696-5437, or by email, ryoung@amphi.com, or by visiting the counseling office in person to make an appointment.

FSA ID: All college-bound seniors are encouraged to apply for FAFSA. This is FREE money for college based on your family’s financial need. It is FREE to apply! To apply, you FIRST have to create an FSA ID number for the student AND the tax-paying parent. You’ll need the students’ and parents’ social security numbers to create the FSA ID. Use this link to create your FSA ID numbers.

FAFSA Application: The FAFSA application is NOW OPEN! Do not delay! Even if your plans are undecided, you can apply for FAFSA to secure the highest amount of financial aid. The earlier you apply, the more you are guaranteed! You will need to have an FSA ID for the student and taxpaying parent in order to apply for FAFSA. Use this link to begin your FAFSA application.

ACT/SAT: All seniors are encouraged to take the SAT and/or ACT college placement test(s) if you have any interest in attending a four-year college or university. You can register for one of these tests by visiting this website. Fee waivers are available, so see your counselor or the college advisor for this.
