STAFF DEVELOPMENT OPTION MODULE Objective: Teacher will provide professional staff development training to teachers. Teacher will analyze student data to drive instruction and increase student achievement.

- Participation in CAR Options Orientation or CAR Orientation
- Participation in three (3) Career Ladder Staff Development training sessions (Training Series)
- Preparation and presentation of at least two (2) Staff Development Trainings to teachers
- Facilitation of follow-up with participants of Staff Development Trainings
- Completion of two (2) Presenter Reflections
- Maintenance and completion of a teacher portfolio, organized with a Table of Contents and aligned to Staff Development Option Expectations And Standards For A Quality Portfolio

Meeting Staff Development Option Program Expectations qualifies a teacher to participate in CAR the following year.
Not meeting Staff Development Option Program Expectations will result in a return to the traditional salary schedule or require the teacher to meet with the Career Ladder Manager prior to September 4, 2009 to create a Professional Growth Plan if choosing to remain in the Career Ladder Program.Portfolios, with final evaluations, may be picked up at the Career Ladder office on Monday, June 1, 2009 from 9:00-1:00 p.m.
