Curling Project |
The Turin 2006 Olympics are coming and you are going to do some research on the curling competition.
Your group is going to create a Curling presentation that best presents the information to share with the class. At a minimum, you must include in your presentation:
- Basic Information about the Sport – rules and how you win
- Equipment needed
- History of the sport
- What are the names of the best athletes in this sport? What abilities do they possess?
- Who you predict to win the gold medal in Men’s and Women’s curling and why
- Cite your sources and why you know the information is accurate and reliable.
The Communicator will create the presentation.
The Evaluator will rank the list of Men’s curling teams and how you believe they will finish in the Olympics in the Intel ranking tool. You must provide reasons for your gold, silver and bronze teams and the team you selected to finish in last place. Log in at Student Log in Teacher ID is psteffen@amphi.com Team ID is edtech(letter a - h) depending on group name (ask Peggy for your group) Password is edtech
The Researcher will enter the information from the major source of information into the Evaluation Tool and use the citation tool to create a bibliography.
When each person finishes their part, they will go and look at the other resources on this page. Be sure to look at the 21st Century Information Fluency Project Tutorials - Micromodules and Search challenges, Intel Tools, Evaluating Internet Resources and Search Tools.
