One school's experience with Smartboards:
|
This review shares an Australian school's experience at building its learning strategies around the interactive whiteboard rather than the conventional desktop or laptop computer. “Of particular note is that in the Richardson strategy there is no explicit teaching of ICT (information and communication technology) skills. Students learn these by watching their peers, the teacher and practicing themselves on the whiteboard.” quoted from The Educational Effects and Implications of the Interactive Whiteboard Strategy of Richardson Primary School, Australia, A Brief Review by Mal Lee and Dr. Maureen Boyle, October 2003.
Below is a collection of basic interactive whiteboard sites that have been found to be informational and useful when considering purchasing and implementing an interactive board in the classroom setting.
