Kindergarteners went on a field trip Friday, March 8th! They began their day at the library—learning about the library and listening to a story, getting their own library cards, and checked out books. Then, they traveled to a Teddy Bear Clinic at TMC. The kindergarteners and their stuffed friends participated in various stations simulated to things that are seen and done at the hospital...all to make things less scary should they ever have to go to the hospital. It was a great, fun learning opportunity! Click on the link to see pictures.
On Friday, the 5th Grade enjoyed a unique learning experience at the Liberty Festival, an event focused on the time period of the American Revolution (1775-1781). Students interacted with many interesting characters including George Washington and Ben Franklin! Students drilled with the soldiers using wooden muskets. They wrote their names in ink with a feather quill, and played colonial games. They learned about everyday life in the Colonies. They even watched an exciting skirmish between the Patriots and the Redcoats! Click on the link to see pictures.
