Mrs. Richelle Wilson

Hello!  I am Richelle Wilson and I adore being the Harelson Librarian.  I have lived in California, Washington, and now here in Tucson, Arizona. Through the years, I have worked as a para-professional and professional in different areas including public, special, and academic libraries, and now it is a thrill to be a School Librarian. I am blessed to work with such a brilliant staff and incredible community.

I enjoy spending time with my husband and two daughters.  We are a family of readers.  Harelson. has felt like home since I first volunteered in the Library 7 years ago, and soon after, my older daughter started attending. Later, I began substituting both in the Library and in the Classrooms.  This helped me get to know many of the students.  It is a joy working to help the kids find books for school assignments as well as foster their love of reading.

The late Dr. Seuss stated the importance of reading so well when he said, “The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you'll go.”

Reading is such an important component to learning. My goals are to continue to expand the reading interests of the students who love to read, as well as ensure that even the most reluctant reader will find a book that they will enjoy, and in turn become hooked on reading.
