Introduction

       Harelson Elementary opened its doors in the fall of 1960. Named after a long time teacher in the Amphi school district- Winifred Harelson, our faculty and staff are very proud of the long history and academic achievements.

       Every year on her birthday, the students at Harelson would host a birthday party for Mrs. Harelson. She was very thankful to the students and would always send a thank you note with her thoughts and wishes. Several of these notes are on display.
