I have been teaching at Mesa Verde since 2012!  I have four children.  My oldest children graduated from the U of A and ASU. My youngest son attends NAU. My husband is also a teacher, so during the school year our home is a very busy place!  I graduated from ASU with a degree in Elementary Education and I previously taught for several years in Phoenix working as an ESL teacher as well as teaching full-day Kindergarten.  I also taught preschool for six years here in Tucson. I earned a graduate degree in Early Childhood Education from NAU in 2008. 

Defining Moment in My Education

     I was the child that cried almost every day of kindergarten!  I had an amazing teacher that comforted me and helped build my confidence.  Kindergarten is a year of major transition for a lot of children.  I want my student's first year of formal schooling to be filled with wonder and for children to feel pride as they learn to become a part of a school community.  I am grateful for my kindergarten teacher who treated me with kindness and respect and want to do the same for my students.
