Welcome Message

I am very excited to be teaching your child this year! I have lived in Tucson since 1992 with my husband and two daughters. Our oldest daughter graduated from ASU in Chemistry and is now living in Virgina and our youngest is currently attending ASU. I love animals and we have two dogs and a cat. 

Defining Moment in Education

 I grew up in a family of educators. My dad was a Physics Professor at NAU and my mom was an elementary teacher but I began my career in Accounting because I loved math and numbers. After having my two children I decided to pursue my true passion of teaching children. My dad was the most influential teacher in my life and inspired me to become a teacher and make a difference in students' lives.

Core Educational Belief

I believe all students can be successful learners when given the right instruction, tools and environment in which to learn. Learning is fun and I strive to provide students with an engaging, fun and risk free environment where they feel valued. My goal is for every student to become a successful lifelong learner.

Prior Experience

I began teaching in the Amphitheater District in 2004. I have taught first, second and third grades. I love teaching first grade the best!
