About Me

I have lived in Tucson most of my life. I can call Tucson my Hometown. I am a High School graduate of Sahuaro High School. I attended and graduated from the best college- the University of Arizona. Beardown!

My husband is also in education and works at Innovation Academy. We have two wonderful sons. Cadden completed a five year emlistment in the U.S. Army and is graduating from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University this year. He is married and his fabulous wife works here at Mesa Verde! Our youngest son Colby works for Wells Fargo as a Home Loan Specialist. I have two amazing and hyper dogs, Max and Maizey.  

I love watching University of Arizona basketball, hiking with my husband and daughter-in-law, listening to music, spending time with my family, hanging out with my puppies, and of course I love reading.

Defining Moments in My Education

Ever since I can remember I have always seen myself as a teacher. I have always wanted to be a teacher. Throughout my education I was blessed to have had many outstanding teachers that inspired me to be my best. My first grade teacher was such an inspiration for my love of reading. I just remember being surrounded by books and always wanting to be there. My fourth grade teacher was so beautiful and I wanted to be her. I remember sitting in a small group with her and learning vocaublary and just loving it. My elementary teachers hold a special place in my heart. I learned not only the academics they taught but, I also learned I wanted to be like them. I want to to inspire my students to be their best. I want to instill a love of learning and to be a positive influence in my student's lives.
