Welcome

I am the K-2 Cross-categorical teacher at Mesa Verde.  We incorporate all three grade levels within our classroom and students learn, grow, and are challenged.  This is my 8th year teaching at Mesa Verde.  I love my job and enjoy coming to work each and every day!

Defining Moment in Education

In 2006 I began work as a teaching assistant in a special education classroom with Amphitheater Public Schools.  I absolutely loved the job and looked forward to working with the students each day.  After 4 years as an assistant, I decided to go back to school to become a teacher and it was the best decision I every made!

Core Beliefs

I believe that all students are able to learn and can be successful.  Every day should be filled with a variety of opportunities that engage students and encourage them to do their best.

"Why I choose Mesa Verde"

I chose Mesa Verde and they chose me!  I am so glad they did.  I have great memories of my time being a UCat at this great school.  I had the opportunity to work with one of the best special education teachers I ever met, by the name of Kathy Fetter.  She was an inspiration to me as to what a great teacher looked like.  I am so thankful to be working at a school that employs great teachers.
