Welcome
A little about me: I continue to enjoy teaching and working with students. I enjoy coaching my daughter and neice and nephew's Odyssey of the Mind teams. I have always enjoyed seeing young minds grow and develop!
Defining Moment in my Education:
I decided to become a special education teacher because I like figuring out how to build on my students' strengths to overcome their weaknesses academically. My siblings had learning disabilities in reading and writing while growing up. Seeing their challenges in school first hand, only strengthened my view point that everyone has a right to learn and be as successful as possible.
Core Educational Belief:
I believe that with the right supports, all students are capable of learning and being successful, now and in their future.
Prior Experience:
Amphitheater Public School District, 20 years, special education
Tucson Unified School District, 3 years, special education
St. Ambrose Elementary, Diocese of Tucson, 1 year, general education
