Each night, Monday-Thursday, students have reading, math and spelling homework.
Reading: On Monday, your child will receive a paper "booklet" that should be used for their reading homework. Please have your child read this booklet to you. They should then write the title on the weekly homework sheet on which you should also sign your name after they have completed their reading. For Tuesday-Thursday reading homework, your child can either read this booklet or any book they can read to you.
Math: Monday through Thursday, your child will receive a math homework page that is a review of the math lesson that was taught that day. Please have your child try to complete this page independently if possible.
Spelling: On the weekly homework sheet, there will be a list of the week's spelling words. On Friday, your child will have a spelling test on these words. Monday through Thursday, you can choose from the spelling "menu" of different ways to practice the spelling words.
Cada noche, lunes-jueves, los estudiantes tienen tarea de lectura, matematica, y ortografia/deletreo.
Lectura: El lunes, su hijo(a) recibira un "librito" de papel que se puede usar para la tarea de lectura. Favor de que se lo lea este librito a Ud. Luego, debe escribir el titulo en la hoja de tarea de la semana en que tambien Ud debe escribir su nombre despues de que haya terminado con leer. Para la tarea de martes-jueves su hijo(a) puede leer este librito o cualquier libro que puede leer a Ud.
