Defining Moment in my Education

     My teaching career launched (at age 4) with the birth of my baby sister, Krissi. I remember teaching her about the sounds that various animals make. Evidently teaching is in my DNA. My father was an elementary school principal, and he loved reading with his students. My mother was an exceptional kindergarten teacher who infused creativity into her teaching. During my first year of teaching at Keeling, I read a book which transformed my outlook about teaching. It encouraged me to build relationships, to be a role model and to offer helpful resources.

Why I Teach at Keeling

     Keeling’s positive environment keeps me teaching here. Keeling students are enthusiastic, the parents are appreciative and my co-workers are encouraging.
