National Junior Honor Society at Cross
NJHS is a national recognition program found in every state of the United States plus schools in 70 other countries. NJHS is more than just an honor roll. It emphasizes leadership, service, citizenship, and character. Students who are accepted into NJHS must maintain a 3.5 GPA for the rest of the time they are at Cross and complete 20 hours of community service during their 8th-grade year. NJHS has completed many service events over the years, such as painting Ben's Bells, sponsoring a canned food drive, and visiting an assisted living facility. All ideas for service projects are welcome.
