Hello!  My name is Vita Thomas.  I have been working at Copper Creek Elementary School since 2004.  I have been a teaching assistant in the Cross-Categorical - Special Education class the majority of the time.  I enjoy the challenge of this setting as well as the variety of wonderful children.  The students’ sweet nature keep me smiling!  Since I love to laugh, one of my favorite parts of my job is how the students bring their special twist to things and keep me laughing.

I am a native New Yorker, so I add a little different flair to the class than my fellow teachers.  I have been married to my husband, Bob, for 20+ years.  We are blessed with two lovely daughters who were fortunate enough to spend their elementary years at Copper Creek.  I loved being here to see them in their educational setting and see how hard each of their teachers worked to help them become the students they are.
