Welcome to the Copper Creek Student Council Information Page
The mission of the Copper Creek Student Leadership is to provide the opportunity for leadership for our representatives and to promote good values and good character to our student body. Our Student Leadership Representatives are expected to lead by example in our classrooms and all school functions by displaying strong values of character. Our Student Leadership Representatives will also perform duties that include: helping others less fortunate members in our community by conducting various drives throughout the school year, will engage and participate in our school functions, and will also work to enhance our school atmosphere.
Our Copper Creek Student Leadership is comprised of third, fourth and fifth grade students who were chosen by their homeroom teachers based on their leadership abilities. Three representatives will be selected from each classroom. Officers for Student Leadership will be selected from our Student Leadership group and will include:
- President - 5th graders only
- Vice President - 4th and 5th graders only
- Secretary – 3rd graders only
- Treasurer - 4th or 5th graders only
Meetings are held weekly afterschool on Thursdays from 2:00-2:45. During meetings, we follow the Roberts' Rules of Conduct as we take role, discuss, and vote on issues at hand. Our main fundraising goal is to raise funds to support the Splash-and-Fun Day held in May. To reach this goal, we have many fundraising opportunities throughout the year which include a monthly Student Store where we sell small items ranging from $0.50 to $5.00, holiday grams, and staff appreciation grams.
We also serve our community by participating in various activities such as: the Clothing Drive for the Amphi Clothing Bank and the Community Food Drive. We also collect pop tabs to donate to the Ronald McDonald House.
