My name is Kris Holt and I have been teaching at Prince since 1998.   I am the School Improvement Specialist/Instructional Coach which means that I get to visit many classrooms to see learning take place.  I am committed to Prince because we have the best students, parents and staff.  Prince is a place that puts students first and that means a lot to me!

Defining Moment in My Education

I have always wanted to be a teacher to make a difference in a child's life.  It wasn't until a video was made for me with many of my former students that I really recognized the impact I had on their lives.  It validated the career choice I made...to teach and inspire students to be all they can.

Core Educational Beliefs

I believe that all children deserve a warm, loving, and safe environment in order to take risks so that they will be able to reach their full potential.

Prior Experience

I have wanted to be a teacher since the 1st grade!  I used to line up my animals and teach to them.  While I was going to college, I was a server and I pierced ears at the Tucson Mall.

Hobbies and Interests

I love to watch sports with my family, especially the University of Arizona.  You can find me at various parks around Tucson watching my family play sports. I became a Grammie and it is the absolute best!  I spend as much time as I can with her.  I also enjoy walking with my dog, reading and going to lunch with friends.
