Reading stories to your child or having them read to you is a great way to help build fluency and comprehension. Discussing stories as you read them will help your child to understand character development and plot structure. They can learn to understand and identify cause and effect and make inferences and predictions. These are all valuable skills that will help your child's comprehension and increase their enjoyment. The following stories will help get you started. I tried to select stories that included the text, so that students can follow along.
