The Curriculum and Instructional Support Specialist staff assist teachers and school leadership in promoting, modeling, and coaching for high quality instructional practice. CISS staff serve as mentors to all new teachers in their first and second year in the classroom. In addition, they assist principals in professional development planning and delivery, assist experienced teachers in learning new techniques, and provide assistance in district-wide assessments such as DIBELS Next and NWEA MAP. CISS staff members can also be called upon to work on curriculum issues both off and on-line.
