Welcome to Ms. Patchin's 4th Grade Class

My name is Patricia Patchin, and I have been teaching for a long time.  Most of my teaching experience is in 4th grade.  I love the community at Innovation and am excited to work with students in my classroom to grow a love of learning.  I like to use hands-on activities to help students comprehend lessons and love to get my hands dirty in The Grove and garden.

Defining Moment in Education

I knew growing up that I wanted to help others in my community, but it was through many visits to my sister's classroom that I recognized that this would occur through teaching.  I loved seeing the wonder in their eyes as they learned something new, and the joy on their faces when they were able to overcome obstacles.  It was not until after a few years of teaching that my love for science grew.  At Innovation, I am able to combine my love for teaching and science all day!
