Welcome to our Second Grade Class! I am looking forward to an exciting year working together.

My mission is to model, to guide, to encourage and facilitate growth, learning and development in the children who have come into my life so that they can, in turn, do so for others. I have influenced children to be confident and self-assured, with the social emotional and academic skills to meet the challenges that lie ahead.  

Defining Moment

I have always loved school and learning. I realize as an educator it is only when I can appreciate differences in others, that I can share my talents with students, and take pleasure in watching them discover their own talents for themselves. I have an optimistic view about what I can do to shape and mold a better future for our society.

Each child grows and develops at a different pace. It is my responsibility to recognize and respect these individual learning styles and to develop each learner to their greatest potential. I am committed to providing a stimulating learning environment that is safe and secure. Communication between parents and teachers is crucial for the success of every child. Working cooperatively with parents for their participation in the successful education of their children, it is my responsibility to keep parents informed regarding academic progress and social development of their child. It is my role as an educator to collaborate with parents to instill a love of learning and promote lifelong education in their children.
