• Painted Sky Health Office

stethoscope    Our Health Office is staffed by Jody Shipton, Health Aide. Mrs. Shipton is here to assist students that are ill or injured during the school hours.

Our goal is to "keep students healthy because healthy students learn better."  Have your child start their day by eating a nutritious breakfast, encourage them to drink plenty of water & get a full nights rest.  As general guidelines, please keep your child home if they don't appear well, have a fever & have not been fever-free for 24 hours, a persistent cough, a rash, vomiting or you think they may be contagious to other children. Please inform the Health Office if your child has been diagnosed with a contagious illness or if there are any changes in their health or medications.

*** DO NOT SEND ANY MEDICATION WITH YOUR CHILD , PARENTS MUST BRING THE MEDICATION TO THE HEALTH OFFICE & SIGN A MEDICATION ADMINISTRATION FORM ***              medication

If your child should require prescription or non-prescription medication taken during school hours, please call the Health Office for information. You may also click on the District Health Services link for the Districts policy on medications in the schools.  ALL OTC & Prescription Medications must be FDA approved.

Please make sure your child is current on immunizations and as they receive them, send an updated copy to the Health Office. All 11 year old students are NOW required to get the Tdap & Meningococcal vaccines regardless of their grade. To view the state immunization requirements, click on the Arizona Department of Health Services link.

Please contact the Health Office with any questions regarding medications, immunizations or reporting an illness.
