Hello, I am Maggie Morales. I got my Bachelors' from the University of Minnesota, where I was fortunate to play college softball. I have my Master's degree in Special Education at The University of Arizona. I went to Rio Vista for first and second grade! I am the daughter of two teachers and I am proud to continue the family business.  

Defining Moment in Education

Growing up with teachers for parents, I got to see the interworking of schools from a young age. My favorite moment in my teaching career was working with two students for two years who really struggled with reading and, by the end, they made tremendous growth and are now awesome readers.

Core Educational Belief

Everyone learns in different ways and everyone deserves the opportunity to learn in a manner that is best for them. I believe in starting at the foundation level of educational needs and allowing them to have a good foundation for growth.

Prior Experience

This is my 3rd year teaching special education. Prior to teaching, I worked in a pre-school for two years. Additionally, I have worked at a summer camp teaching art and STEM for 8 years.
