Plurals Worksheet
Have your student cut apart the words listed at the bottom of the page. Allow your student to tell you which colum the word belongs when it is turned into a plural. You may need pictures or manipulatives to further demonstrate what a "plural" means. For example, gather two babies, hold one baby and demonstrate the word "baby". Pick up the other baby and demonstrate how the word changes to "babies."
Allow your child to glue or tape the picture to the correct column. If you do not have glue or tape, just place the word in the correct column.
Add On Activities:
1) Write 5 new words and help your child learn correct plurals.
2) Look through a picture book or a magazine and hunt for plurals. Label the plural and point to the correct column.
3) Go on a hunt through your house and gather 5-10 nouns. Write a short story using these nouns as plurals. Make sure to encourage correct spelling and correct handwriting.
