  • Background:

    I began teaching at Amphitheater High School in fall of 2011 as a Special Education Teacher, but I had worked in the office since the spring of 2003. I was the JV Cheer coach for 4 years and have been involved with Special Olympics since I helped bring it to our campus 6 years ago.  I serve as the Head of Delegation for our school and help to coach various sports throughtout the year for our Special Olympics Unifited Teams.

    Accomplishments:

    Unified Champion School (recognized by Special Olympics)

    2020 MLK Basketball Classic Honoree

    2019 AIA Unified Basketball State Champions (Silver Division)

    2018 and 2020 Competed at AIA Unified Basketball State

    Various medals in multiple sports (bocce, bowling, basketball, tennis, cheer and track & field)

    Mulitple atheltes have been nominated for and received Unified Awards

  • What I Love about Coaching...

    Watching athletes grow as competitors and as teammates. I truly enjoy seeing the unity in the team and watching all of the athletes work toward a common goal. I also cannot describe the feeling that their joy brings me.
