    Starbase

    STARBASE is a Department of Defense program that provides fifth grade students across the nation to Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) with challenging, hands-on, experiential activities. STARBASE Arizona provides students from Tucson, and the surrounding areas, with 25 hours of stimulating experiences here at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base.

    The goal of STARBASE Arizona is to raise the interest and improve the knowledge and skills of at-risk youth in the STEM fields, and connecting them with the positive role models found in the Air Force.

    What do our students learn at STARBASE? Each day brings new adventures in the STEM fields. Students are exposed to Engineering, Math, Chemistry, 3D Computer Aided Design, Newton’s Laws of Motion, Physics, Navigation, Mapping, Geocashing, Bernoulli’s Principle, Atmospheric Properties, and Robotics.
