Prior Experience

I have been in education since 2004. I have taught pre-kindergarten, 1st,and 2nd grade. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Education as well as an Early Childhood Endorsement and a Reading Endorsement.

Why I am committed to Amphi

I am committed to Amphi as an educator. Their vision, mission and values are essential components to build a successful school district. Amphi promotes collaboration, encourages family involvement and strives for student success. These are all characteristics of a place where I can commit my time, effort and passion to. I am proud to be an employee working for the Amphitheater School District. 

Defining Moment in my Education

My defining moment in education isn’t restricted to any one big moment. I’m fortunate to say that my defining moments in education happen every time that I connect to a student. Those connections can look different with each student. The connection can be through relationship, a revelation or progress. The hugs, high-fives, smiles, “aha” moments, and evidence of progress from students are all my defining moments in education.  

Why I Teach at Walker

Lulu Walker is an amazing place to work and teach. There is a great sense of community amongst the staff, students and parents. Lulu Walker focuses on the positive things that happen on school campus. I am glad to be part of a staff that works hard, stays positive and genuinely cares for every one of our Walker Wolves. Lulu Walker Elementary is a school where I feel that I can make a difference in a child’s life and enjoy the place where I teach. 

Hobbies and Interests

My hobbies include exercising and photography. Exercise is important for me to stay healthy and happy. I love to go bicycle riding with my sons, take gym classes and go for the occasional hike. Photography is so much fun to learn about. I love taking pictures for friends and my family. Photography is a way to capture special memories to treasure.
