Welcome!
Welcome to my intermediate resource room webpage. I am the intermediate special education teacher for grades three through five. I am also the special education facilitator and the 504 coordinator. I was born in Racine, Wisconsin and moved to Tucson over thirty years ago. I am married with one daughter and one granddaughter. when I am not teaching I love to travel, read, and spend time with my family.
Defining Moment in Education
It is hard to pick just one defining moment. I love teaching because it allows me to be a lifelong learner. My students are always teaching me something new!
Core Educational Belief
Education is not just about learning facts, but more so about learning how to think. It is learning to make good choices. It is learning to act with purpose and kindness.
Prior Experience
Teaching is my second career. Before I began teaching, I worked as a child and family counselor. I have been teaching in Amphitheater School District for 18 years.
