Welcome

Welcome to room 16! My name is Susan Luciano and this will be my 6th year teaching in Amphi and my first year at Walker Elementary School. I am very excited to meet everyone!

Core Education Belief

I believe all students should have a vested interest in their education. It is my job to facilitate learning and give my students opportunities through a wide range of experiences. As we start our journey in third grade this year, my focus is on engaging students through collaborative opportunities and building a strong classroom community. My goal is to inspire students to take the lead in the classroom, and to have the opportunity to learn from one another. I am dedicated to giving your child a quality educational experience that will promote self reliance and provide problem solving strategies to reach their individual goals.  

Prior Experience

 This is my 6th year teaching in Amphi. I taught 1st grade for 3 years and 3rd grade for 2 years. This is my 3rd year teaching 3rd grade, and first year at Walker Elementary School. I was a long term substitute teacher in both first and second grade in New Jersey. I was also an assistant teacher in a PreK Special Education classroom.
