Hello I'm Mr.Holaday.  I love to learn about and teach art. I enjoy reading, hiking, traveling, painting, eating Mexican and Thai food. I enjoy reading about history as well as watching biographies. I have been fortunate to travel all over the world and visit different cultures and explore many kinds of art. Some travels have taking me to Berlin, Rome, Spain, Vietnam, Peru, Chile, Mexico, Australia,Iceland, and Paris. I just love to travel, can do it real cheaply, and this lets me explore the world!  When I have traveled to Mexico and Guatemala I have also taken Spanish language classes and lived with families to practice my Spanish. Yes Mr. Holaday loves to explore and learn!                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                         Defining Moment

After getting my B.A in Art History I thought I was done with school.  I had many different jobs, but was never satisfied and felt something was missing.  Years later at a museum I saw a teacher talking to a group of students looking at a work of art. That was it! The sharing of knowledge and the questions the students were asking, helped me make a life changing decision   I went back to get my teaching certificate, and at the same time my masters degree in Art Education.

Every child deserves an excellent education. Every child has the capability to succeed and be successful in life, no mater their background or financial situaton, when teachers and others give them the tools and knowledge to do so.
