Mrs. Jonelle Richardson

Welcome to 5th grade! This is my 4th year at Wilson and my 13th year teaching. I have a passion and love for learning and for people. I believe every child can learn, but just in different ways and at different times. One of my favorite quotes is: "If we want our children to move mountains, we first have to get them out of their chairs." My goal is to make learning engaging and fun for my students, while challenging my students to reach their full potential.

I grew up in California and received my credential and Masters in teaching from Fresno State University. I taught 8th grade all subjects at a public environmental charter school where I ran Student Council, FCA, and 8th grade promotion. After I had my own kids, I took a "break" to be at home with them and was able to still teach part-time college courses at Clovis Adult School. After my kids got older, I went back to teaching in the traditional classroom where I taught 4th grade at a high performing public school in Stockton, California.

Outside of the classroom, I stay busy with my four kids whose ages range from 8-14, along with our two dogs and two rabbits. My kids have grown up around college athletics, and we are often seen at swim meets supporting my husband who is a college swim coach. In my free-time, I love running, reading, shopping, and traveling.

Please don't hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns, or just to stop by and say hello.
