Welcome

I will be teaching one section of 7th Grade Social Studies (American History/Global Studies) and five sections of 8th Grade Civics/American Government. Various pages will soon be created & embedded within Schoology to help provide you with a comprehensive overview of both classes. 

Defining Moment in Education

As a student progressing through the public educational system, my teachers always asked me to "help out" the other students in the classroom.  It was through this continuous interaction throughout the years that I learned how to "educate" others and enjoyed doing it.  This then led me to pursue a career in education and I have had no regrets ever since!!!

Core Educational Belief

I believe in providing my students with an informative, visual, and structured learning environment while simultaneously offering them a variety of opportunities to individually be successful within the classroom.

Prior Experience

I previously taught at Cross Middle School for 12 years before transferring to Wilson in 2010. Aside from teaching, I have also coached middle school sports for the past twenty-five years.  This year, I will be coaching 8th & 7th grade football, 8th grade girls' soccer, 8th grade boys' soccer, & 7th grade volleyball.
