Mr. Obregon

Welcome

I will be teaching 7th Grade Social Studies (American History / Road to the Civil War through the Great Depression) and Teen Court (an elective class for both 7th & 8th graders).  The purpose of this website is to provide you with a comprehensive overview of the class. By clicking on the various links, each page will give you a better understanding of numerous areas of concern and interest.

Defining Moment in Education

As a student progressing through the public educational system, my teachers always asked me to "help out" the other students in the classroom.  It was through this continuous interaction throughout the years that I learned how to "educate" others and enjoyed doing it.  This then led me to pursue a career in education and have had no regrets ever since!!!

Core Educational Belief

I believe in providing my students with an informative, visual, and structured learning environment while simultaneously offering them a variety of opportunities to individually be successful within the classroom.

Prior Experience

I previously taught at Cross Middle School for the past 12 years before transferring to Wilson in 2010. I have continuously worked at various recreation & sports camps throughout the city/county during the summer breaks as well.  Aside from teaching, I have also coached middle school sports for the past twenty years.  This year, I will be coaching 8th grade football, 8th grade girls' soccer, 8th grade boys' soccer, & 7th grade volleyball here at Wilson.
