I actually began my career in 1985. My first job was a reading specialist in Nebraska. After three years, I moved to Tuxtla Gutierrez, Chiapas, Mexico, to teach 1st/2nd grades in an American school established for the USDA. When I returned to the United States, I settled in Tucson with my new husband. I spent one year in preschool before I began teaching in TUSD. In TUSD I taught 6th grade reading, 7th Grade IB Language A, 8th Grade Language Arts, 9th grade IB Language A, 10th Grade IB Language A, was an instructional coach, and a librarian. I have had a full and rewarding experience as a teacher.

I have two daughters, a granddaughter, and two rescue dogs.

I cannot believe I am starting my 5th year with the Wilson Wranglers as the SEI specialist.
