Welcome! My name is Elisa LaJoy and I graduated from Elmhust College, IL with a B.A. in Education.

 My career has always been geared towards young children. I enjoy being a part of their education journey and help them become successful citizens.

Definying Moment in My Education

As a child, I had one of the most wonderful elementary teachers. Mr. Macaluso used different strategies in his lessons and made learning fun. It’s because of him that I became a teacher.

Core Educational Belief

 I believe that each child is a unique individual who needs a safe, caring, and motivating atmosphere in which to grow and mature emotionally, intellectually, physically, and socially.

The greatest pleasure in teaching for me is watching a child grow and learn throughout the year. After teaching a lesson or unit, I love seeing their little faces light up when they meet the objectives. It is an even greater pleasure to see them change not only intellectually but also socially and knowing that as an educator, I helped and guided them to achieve those changes.
