I have been teaching for 32 years. I have taught Preschool, Kindergarten and have been a reading specialist. I grew up in Ithaca, New York. My husband and I moved here in 1994 for a warmer climate.  We have two children, a son named Dalton and a daughter named Hailey.  Both of my children have gone through Wilson K-8 and Ironwood Ridge.  My son lives in San Francisco, CA and works in AI and my daughter just graduated from the U of A and lives in San Franscisco as well pursing a career in yoga therapy.  

I feel kindergarten is the foundation of your child's education.  I want them to develop a LOVE of learning.  I want them to become risk takers, independent thinkers and problem solvers.  I feel that if a child feels comfortable in their environment, they are able to learn.

I began my teaching experience as a preschool teacher.  After having my son, I worked part time as a reading specialist.  Once I decided to go back to work full time, I have taught kindergarten ever since.
