Welcome to Wilson.  I am Richard Finch and I am married to an amazing middle school math teacher.  We have two adult children and a beautiful granddaughter.

My call to teaching took a long path.  I was an engineer at Raytheon where I worked for 33 years.  After taking an early retirement, I started tutoring math and coaching here at Wilson.  From there, I became a teacher’s aide in the middle school ED-P classroom.  I really enjoyed helping children understand math, but I especially enjoyed working with the ED-P program.  It didn’t take me long to realize that my new career was going to be in teaching.  I have a passion for helping these kids develop as students and people.
