Grading and Reporting
in the Amphitheater District

The Amphitheater School District uses standards-based grading in all school levels, from elementary to high school. This means that student work is assessed based on their progress on skills, or standards, that are determined by the state. Each grade level has state standards, or skills, that teachers help children master as they progress through their educational journey.

While the standards-based grading approach is District-wide, elementary school grading differs from secondary (middle and high school) grading. Please select the Elementary or Secondary tab to learn more about grading and reporting at each level.
