Our new websites are designed to highlight the District and our schools and provide families and staff with the information they need.

While we are excited to launch the new sites, the project does come with a few potential (and temporary) issues. We request your patience and assistance as we continue to refine the pages on each site.

If you need information urgently and can’t locate it on the website or see an error, please email answers@amphi.com, and we will respond and address the concern as quickly as possible, typically the same day or within 24 hours.

Science and STEM Curriculum

It is the goal of the Amphitheater School District’s Science and STEM Department to prepare all students for the challenges and opportunities of the 21st-century economy. Industry surveys show that Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) related jobs will significantly increase over the next decade.  Our students will be ready. 

We have STEM education at all grade levels.

  • Elementary School - Our students explore the environment, the universe, energy sources, and they apply mathematics to real-world situations.  Students also participate in regional and state science fairs.
  • Middle School - Aspiring scientists and engineers take elective classes through an exciting curriculum called Project Lead the Way (PLTW). Through hands-on, project-based learning, students make connections between what they learn in school to the outside world.
  • High School - We offer classes that challenge students to step up to a high level of problem-solving and critical thinking. Classes include Biotechnology, Computer Programming, Engineering, and AP Calculus.
