The Student Services department supports a number of areas, including Special Education, the Rillito Center, School Psychology, School Social Work, Health Services, Audiology and Speech Language and Hearing. Student Services also includes Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy and adaptive physical education. The staff manages Child Find efforts, special education preschool and Head Start programs, collaborative efforts for students with Hearing and Vision Impairments and Educational Interpreters through the Southeast Regional Cooperative, Section 504, Homebound instruction, Chronic Health Condition Policy instruction and alternative education through home instruction.
Special Educaton
Child Find Services are available to all residents living within the Amphitheater Public Schools attendance area. Screenings and evaluations are available to determine if a preschool child has a disability and is in need for special education services. Children between the ages of 2 years, 9 months and 5 years of age (prior to September 1 of current school year), who reside within Amphitheater School District Boundaries.
