• Governing Board Meetings

    The Governing Board of Amphitheater Unified School District No. 10 of Pima County will hold Regular Governing Board Meetings and Special Governing Board Meetings (Executive Session for Student Discipline) on the dates listed on the left.  

    In months when just one meeting is scheduled, the Board may conduct both regular business and Executive Session matters.  During months when two meetings are scheduled, in the first meeting the Board will conduct primarily regular business and in the second meeting, the Board will conduct primarily Executive Session student discipline matters. 

    Executive Session for student discipline, personnel matters, purchase or lease of real property, negotiations with employee organizations, and consultation for legal advice and counsel may be called on Regular Meeting dates as needed.  Additional meetings may be called by the Board as needed.  The regular meeting schedule may be adjusted due to holidays or special school events.

    Regular and Special Meetings are held in the Governing Board Room at Wetmore Center, in the Leadership and Professional Development Building, 701 W. Wetmore Road, Tucson, Arizona unless notice to the contrary is posted.  Generally, the meetings commence at approximately 6:00 pm.  As times vary, current information will be indicated on Agenda postings.

    Notices and Agendas of all Governing Board meetings and its committees, including updates to location or time, will be posted not-less-than 24 business hours in advance of the meeting.  These Notices and Agendas will be posted at 701 W.     Under Arizona law, the Board may call an Executive Session to discuss personnel matters, the purchase or lease of real property, negotiations with employee organizations, and consultation for legal advice with legal counsel.

    Board meetings shall be open to the public and to the media except for Executive Sessions, which are closed to the public or media.

          Amphitheater is complying with the Governor’s Executive Order and exercising safe social distance at Boards meetings during the COVID-19 health crisis by having Board members appear at the meeting through technological means. Meetings will be streamed live for the public.          In the interest of public health and safety, at this time anyone wishing to address the Board during the Call to the Audience should submit a written statement of no more than 3 minutes in length when read aloud. Public comments may be emailed to ksmith@amphi.com and will be read during the Call to the Audience as long as time permits. These must be received 24 hours before the start of the Board meeting. Persons present at the Board meeting (no more than 20) may also complete a form to speak to the Board. Attendees will be required to wear a face covering/mask upon entering and during the meeting. Attendees' temperature will be taken and social distancing among attendees will be required.
