The Amphitheater Public Schools
Board members are proud to serve the District's
students, families, and community.
The May 26, 2020, meeting of the Governing Board will be held at 5:30 p.m. as scheduled with safe and healthy practices in place.
We will have a quorum in attendance at this meeting even though the Superintendent and Board members are not all gathered in a central, physical location. Arizona permits Board members to attend meetings by videoconference or telephone.
Members of the public will be able to access the meeting in the following ways:

Please note that individuals will not be able to participate in the Call to the Audience through the webinar. This will be watch and listen only. See below for options for the Call to the Audience.
- Individuals may attend the meeting in person at the Wetmore Center, 701 West Wetmore Road, Leadership & Professional Development Center. Attendees will be able to see and hear the Board from that location in chairs placed at least 6 feet apart. In addition, any documents or presentations shown to the Board during the meeting will also be viewable.
The following steps will be taken to ensure the safety of staff and the public:
- Masks are required.
- Temperatures and health screenings will be administered at the door. Anyone with a fever, cough or other symptoms of COVID-19 will not be allowed to attend in person.
- Attendees will be required to maintain a distance of at least six feet from staff and each other.
Call to the Audience
The Board will take public comments at this meeting. Individuals were invited to submit comments in writing to email@example.com 24 hours in advance of the meeting. Individuals who wish to address the Board in-person during Call to the Audience should fill out a public comment card and hand it to the Governing Board Secretary located in the main hallway of the Leadership and Professional Development Center. The Governing Board Secretary will indicate the order of the speakers for Call to the Audience and show each speaker where to stand when it is their turn to address the Board. All comments are limited to 3 minutes.

Ms. Day has long been a proponent of student outcomes, Ms. Day herself is a product of an Amphitheater education - starting at Wetmore Elementary, then attending Amphi Middle and finally graduating as an Amphi Panther.
Ms. Cox Golder has returned to the Amphitheater Governing Board after serving as a member from 1987 to 1996 while her two sons attended Amphitheater schools. Now that three of her grandchildren are attending schools in the district, she is back to serve again.
Dr. Baker has a long history in the Amphitheater Public School District. He and his wife Windy met when they were students at Amphitheater High School. Soon after the oldest of their three children was school age, they bought a home in the district so their children could attend Amphi schools.
Mr. Kopec is a native of Tucson and proud product of public schools. He holds a degree from the University of Arizona in Political Science & Sociology and currently works as a Council Aide for the City of Tucson.
Ms. Zibrat was re-elected to a new term and took the public Oath of Office on January 15, 2019. She is grateful for the opportunity to contribute to the Amphi community again in a leadership position.
