Hi Students and Parents
Due to the school closure I will be using a combination of Reminds and Google Classroom for instruction. Most of the students in my classes already are set up with Reminds but you will all need to join my Google Classroom. Please click on the "web resources" tab on the left to find those links and your class code.
I will be holding office hours Monday-Friday from 10:00-11:00. During that time I will be answering reminds texts and emails as quick as possible depending on volume. I know that many of you have very different schedules as we adjust to online learning and 10:00-11:00 may not work for you. I will continue to answer emails and remind text as I see them throughout the day and evening. I will also be sending out invitations to Zoom help sessions as needed. I will try to use varying times (even evenings) to give you options. If you feel you need more help than an email or text can give you please request a Zoom and we can work one-on-one or with a small group. I am available for you during this transition. All you need to do is ask.

Hi my name is Doug Kautz and I teach Sports Statistics and Advanced Geometry here at Ironwood Ridge High School. I spent the first four years of my teaching career in Iowa and then moved to Tucson to teach at Esperero Canyon M.S. After spending three years at Esperero I moved to La Cima Middle School for the next seven years and started the Advanced Geometry program at that school. I have degrees in Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, and Physical Education. I am also the Head coach of the state champion girls golf team at IRHS and coach the 7th grade girls basketball team at Coronado K-8.
Students and parents can receive all of the class assignments by signing up for "Google Classroom" and "Remind". Click the web resources tab in the left navigation bar for more information.
