Online Learning

As we move forward in the next few weeks I want you all to be aware of some useful and/or necessary resources. On the navigation column to the right you will find links for Google Classroom, Zoom, Remind, and Google Calendar. Please check Google Classroom Daily.

Over the next three weeks, work will be uploaded to Google Classroom Daily. Students should already be assigned to my classes as we have used Google Classroom at various times this school year. In the case they are not, or the class is not showing up, class codes can be found under the Google Classroom tab.

I also asked classes to join Remind at the beginning of the year. This is another great way to reach me at this time. In case anyone did not, has forgotten how to use Remind, or has since joined my class, I have posted the directions for this as well.

As always, I can be reached by email at I will be checking email daily and responding as quickly I can.

I encourage everyone to eat healthy and spend some time outside if at all possible. We are all learning together right now and patience with one another is essential. I miss you all already! Stay healthy!

Welcome to my Science Classroom webpage! This is my first year at Ironwood Ridge and my second year teaching. I teach RR Biology, Integrated Science I, and Integrated Science II. I love working with students of all ages and abilities. I love helping students reach their goals in and out of school. I  believe it is the most rewarding aspect of being a teacher.

Defining Moment in My Education

Growing up, I always loved playing school with my siblings. When I was in fourth grade, my sister was diagnosed with a learning disability. Two years later, my brother was also diagnosed with a learning disability and dyslexia. As we got older, I helped them with homework and tried to help build their self-esteem. Watching them go through so much and develop a hatred for school it made me realize I wanted to teach and be able to guide students and give them a place they feel safe and welcome!

Core Educational Beliefs

I believe that every child is able to learn and succeed when given the tools they need as learners. School should be a safe and welcoming environment for all students, as well as a place where they are excited to go. Additionally, students should be given opportunities to explore and express themselves in the classroom daily.
